Hiking guide Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lake Valley

Everest Chola pass Trek

 

This is an outstanding trek visiting the high lush valleys of the Khumbu with time to explore villages and monasteries. and Time to sample the incredible hospitality of the Sherpa people. This adventure begins with a sweeping flight to Lukla, a popular destination which provides a fascinating contrast to the high mountain scapes. This trek leads to Phakding on the first day. Next On the second day then, we trek ahead to the Sherpa capital at Namche Bazaar.


With We take time to acclimatize, before following the quite trail to Gokyo and Khumjung village in the high valley and visiting the ancient Buddhist monastery here.
At Gokyo, we take a morning hike to Gokyo Ri top for the world's most fabulous views of the surrounding peaks and landscape including the giant Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu and Cho Oyu. This journey includes a visit to Khumjung village seldom frequented by trekkers. The trek continues on with an incredible view of Khangtiaga, Thermasarkhu and the Nuptse - Lhotse wall with the Mt. Everest rearing above. On this We crossing the high Tshola pass at 5,430m and heading towards Loboche for another adventure to Kalapathar 5,545m and 6 on to Everest Base Camp, and making way through lovely forests towards Pangboche and Thyangboche the many highlights of the adventure. The views along the trail throughout are tremendous, providing a panorama of snow capped chain of mountain ranges to all sides and many more exciting fun and enjoyment on the way.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu Airport & Transfer to Hotel
Welcome dinner in the evening.


Day 02: Full day Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.


Day 03: Kathmandu - Lukla (2860m) - fly in the morning for 45 minutes then Commence trek to Phakding (2600m) - 4 hours.


Day 04: Phakding - Namche Bazar (3446m) - 5/ hours.


Day 05; Namche Bazar, one-day rest for acclimatization.
Acclimatization is important before trekking higher, and this is a scheduled stop, which will allow you to gradually become used to the effects of altitude - the lower pressure and the thinner air. You can spend the day by taking a side trip to Thami or Khumjung, by visiting the National Park Visitor Center on the hill above Namche or by simply resting and browsing in the shops in the town. Namche is a fascinating place simply to 'hang out' and take in the culture of the mountains, from the trading of visiting Tibetans to the stories of departing mountaineers.


Day 06: Namche Bazar - Tengboche (3867m) - 6 hours.


Day 07: Tengboche - Dingboche (4343m) - 6 hours.
Descend from Tengboche and cross the Imja Khola, then side hills gradually to Pangboche. An interesting Gompa site above the main village. The trekker is the midst of the Himalayas here with spectacular views all around. Dingboche lying in a shelter spot above the Imja Khola is generally more attractive. It is however note that Himalayan Rescue Association has their aid post at Pheriche.


Day 08: Dingboche - Lobuche (4930m) - 5½ hours.


Day 09: Lobuche - Gorakhshep (5200m) - 4 hours.


Day 10: Gorakhshep-Kalapattar (5545m) or Everest Base camp 5357m - Lobuche - 6 hours.
Start early in the morning to get Kalapattar. This is the place from where you can see the wide view of the Everest. Your dream will come true here.


Day 1: Gorakhsep - Labuche


Day 12: Lobuche to Dzongla (4600m)
The trail goes uphill through rocky path.


Day 13: Dzongla to Gokyo


Day 14: Gokyo(4750m) - Gokyo Ri
The path goes through rocky stones to reach to Gokyo lake . possibly to climb Gokyo peak in afternoon.


Day 15: Gokyo - Dole


Day 16: Dole - Namche


Day 17: Namche - Phakding


Day 18: Phakding-Lukla (2860m) - 3 hours, reconfirm the flight tickets.


Day 19: Fly to Kathmandu for 45 minutes from Lukla.


Day 20: Free day in Kathmandu


Day 21: Tour ends
